SCOUTS GET TOP HONOR

six members of the upper west side's boy scout troop have earned the rare honor of eagle scout rank by completing independent service projects around the city. joshua buckner, garrett houston and jonathan moe organized volunteer support at riverside park to remove weeds and stabilize a park walkway, logging in more than 380 volunteer hours. adrian perry worked with the parks department to clean and replant a section of morningside park. ben shavitz gathered books for the metropolitan hospital center's pediatric unit. and aidan short organized a group of volunteers to work at the bronx's food bank. the scouts in troop 526 officially received their eagle scout rank nov. 13.
