Security Guard Assault

a teen at louis d. brandeis high school, at 145 w. 84th st. between columbus and amsterdam avenues, was arrested feb. 8 after a fight with a security guard. at 10:15 a.m. that morning, the guard asked luis ferreira, 18, to have his backpack scanned. police said that ferreira became verbally and physically abusive. the 30-year-old guard and a witness had to use physical force to subdue the teen, who allegedly kicked the guard in the right shoulder, causing a possible dislocation.
