David Amram: The First 80 Years will cover the prolific musician?s work, from a concert performance of his film scores such as 1962?s The Manchurian Candidate to the premiere of Amram?s ?Symphonic Variations on a Song by Woody Guthrie,? introduced by Guthrie?s daughter Nora. Filmed birthday wishes from Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Willie Nelson will be played. The event begins at 7:30. Tickets range from $35 to $75.
