TREES FOR FDR PARK
| 11 Nov 2014 | 02:13
The group behind Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is launching a tree campaign to raise money for the project. Sponsorship fees for each tree will be dedicated to the park, which is slated for the southern tip of Roosevelt Island. The park will have 150 Little Leaf Linden trees that will line a walkway. Each tree will commemorate significant parts of Roosevelt"s presidency, like the Minimum Wage Act, the creation of social security and the G.I. Bill. To sponsor a tree, call 212-486-0195 or visit www.fdrfourfreedomspark.org. --Corrected on Dec. 1
