Undies in a Bundle

INSPIRED BY A WCBS "Shame on You" segment, City Council member Tony Avella introduced a bill last week that would ban the sale of used underpants.

If the bill passes, local retailers would no longer be allowed to simply reshelve underpants returned by dissatisfied customers. The bill only affects underpants—bras, undershirts and socks are exempt, and can still be resold. Retailers caught selling old underpants could be fined up to $500.

This is all well and good—and it's about time someone took a stand on this issue. But our question is: We'll still be able to buy them online, right?
