A 25-year-old woman reported that the $5,000 in cash she stored in a box of granola stashed in her kitchen cabinet was stolen Aug. 29. At 10 a.m., she went to put more cash in the box and discovered it was missing. The woman, who lives on West 75th Street between Riverside Drive and West End Avenue, told police that there were no signs of forced entry and nothing else was taken. The woman sublets the apartment. The broker, she told police, was the only other person with a set of keys.
