Yorkville Memories
To The Editor: Tommy (â??A Look at Old Yorkville, One Story at a Time, July 29) has a way of looking at his world with the wonder of a child and the wisdom of the ages. He never ceases to amaze. Thank you, Our Town, for putting this East Side treasure front and center. Jon Calvert Upper East Side _ To The Editor: I have a few of my favorite stories written by Tom and very often share them. Each time I read a new one, I print it out and mail it to my father, who still resides in Yorkville. He enjoys them immensely and is always looking for the next one. He is a talented writer that puts a smile on the face of the young and old. Sharon Walsh Upper East Side _ To The Editor: Boot-wipes! So that"s what they are. Like Mr. Pryor"s great-grandparents, I, too, live at East 75th and York Avenue and nearly every time I pass P.S. 158 I notice the apparently oddly placed â??address plaques at the school"s entrance and wonder what the real utility could have been. Great piece. I can"t wait for the first snow so I can try out the â??boot-wipes. Chris A. Randolph Upper East Side
